Shalom and Blessing,
In response to the unfortunate and on going financial difficulties that many families are facing, and with the High Holidays of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur approaching just around the corner, necessities such as apples and honey, meat and fish, challah as well as wine will be scarce and/or missing from many holiday tables.
In Jewish tradition, deeply rooted is the custom of “Kimcha D’pishcha”. Loosely translated, it is the intent of helping the needy before the Holiday of Passover. In keeping with the Lubavitcher Rebbe, it is strongly recommended that everyone do exactly the same for needy individuals as well as families during the month of Tishrei!
We at Chabad Lubavitch of Flushing are fortunate enough to distribute Holiday Food Packages to over 330 families in need of assistance within our Jewish community.
We kindly ask that you genuinely open your heart and contribute whatever you can to help support our cause. No donation is too great or too small. Please utilize the enclosed self-addressed envelope to partake in this special “Mitzvah.” All donations are greatly appreciated and Tax Deductible.
Please remember our fellow Jews with your generous contribution and G-d will surely remember you and your loved ones with His even greater gift and inscribe us all in the Book of Life for a Healthy and Happy New Year!
Please make your check payable to CHABAD of FLUSHING.
If you or someone you know has a family in need please do not hesitate to call: 718-380- 7422
Best Wishes for a
Good & Sweet Year!
Rabbi Shraga Zalmanov
